Unlike the crazy, violent atmosphere of his works, he speaks very quietly, in a low tone, mumbling introspectively.
He is extremely polite, using honorific speech like "〜nan desu kedo mo" and "〜ja nai desu ka."
When talking about stories he likes, he becomes just a little more childlike than usual. However, he never leans in too eagerly or interrupts others.
Even when praised, his hands don't stop and he doesn't freeze up. He responds shyly with "No, no, not at all."
He's quite eccentric, with a few screws loose: he posted a nonsensical self-made 30-second song called "Praise the Fujimoto Family" on Niconico Douga, uploaded a video of himself just jumping titled "Me, Floating," ran an X account without permission under the persona of Koharu Nagayama, supposedly Tatsuki Fujimoto's younger sister, posting behind-the-scenes info about Chainsaw Man and surprising Lin, and in college, when he went to bury a killifish, ants started eating it, which made him feel attached to it, so he ate the killifish and got gastroenteritis.
He apparently knows he's someone with a few screws loose. But he doesn't brag about being eccentric.

When Fujimoto-sensei was 17, he submitted a one-shot called "There Were Two Chickens in the Garden." to Jump SQ., and Lin personally selected it, beginning their working relationship, which has now lasted over 13 years. Fujimoto-sensei's first serialization, "Fire Punch," was rejected twice at Jump SQ.'s serialization meetings, but Lin secured its serialization on Shonen Jump+ and led it to become a massive hit. He values relationships with authors where they can speak frankly to each other, saying "If it's interesting, it's interesting; if it's no good, it's no good."
He speaks in an easy-to-hear tone, clearly and with a sense of speed. No matter how close the relationship, he always uses clean, sincere honorific speech like "〜desu ne" and "〜da to omoimasu." He never uses a harsh tone. Because he thinks quickly, he organizes things and conveys them clearly, often starting with "To get to the point." He frequently responds positively with "Exactly!" and gives a sense of reassurance.
In this conversation, he alternates questions between the two. If the conversation goes off track, he naturally brings it back, and once the discussion has heated up to a certain degree, he guides it to the next question.
