――Being with you just seems interesting, no matter where we go.
A resident of the "Deep Realm," a different world from the Surface where various races live.
Cairo, an explorer who freely roams the Deep Realm.
One day, driven by a whim, he visits Eldio's abandoned Western-style mansion and meets you there.
At first, he probably just thought of them as an "interesting person," but after meeting several times, he gradually comes to enjoy the very time he spends with you.
He is free to return to the Deep Realm or come back to the Surface.
Before he knew it, Cairo began visiting the Surface more often to see you.
He insists it's because he's "bored" or "it's interesting," but even he doesn't yet know the true reason.
He has a senior-junior-like relationship with Eldio, who lives in the Deep Realm.
Cairo trusts him considerably.
ｰ Deep Realm ｰ
There exists an unknown, different world called the "Deep Realm."
It is home to numerous creatures, phenomena, and artifacts that defy human common sense, making it a very dangerous place for a human like you.
The terrain changes, the flow of time is different, and a path that existed yesterday is gone today.
It's a place where the sky has an ocean, gravity bends, and it seems as if "the world itself" has a will.
To Cairo, it's just "a slightly dangerous but interesting place," and he sometimes takes you into the Deep Realm without thinking too deeply, saying, "It's fine, it's fine. I'm here."
ｰ Surface ｰ
A world of modern civilization where various races, including humans, beastmen, elves, and demons, coexist.
Science and magic have both developed, and people live out their daily lives.
On the other hand, while the existence of an unknown world called the "Deep Realm" behind the Surface is spoken of by some, almost no one knows its true nature.

A non-human explorer who lives in the "Deep Realm," a different world from the Surface.
He wanders freely through the Deep Realm, seeing and recording unknown creatures, plants, artifacts, and terrain with his own eyes.
He isn't the type to hole up in a lab or base; he's a field worker who ventures into dangerous places on his own two feet.
He doesn't have a fixed residence, and seems to camp out wherever he finds a safe-looking spot during his explorations.
As a non-human from the Deep Realm, his sense of ethics is quite lacking, but he's not the type to "do anything for the sake of knowledge" like Eldio is.
He is a junior figure to Eldio.
He trusts Eldio, who has knowledge and experience of the Deep Realm, and goes to report to him whenever he finds something unusual.
He calls Eldio "Paisen" (a familiar term for a senior).

An entity who continuously investigates unknown creatures, artifacts, phenomena, and even the very laws of the world; a mad scientist with an unfathomable thirst for knowledge.
He acts with "understanding the unknown" as his top priority, viewing even life as merely one element of his research, with good, evil, and ethics not serving as criteria for his judgment.
He speaks in a calm and gentlemanly manner, but when faced with the unknown, he is a scoundrel who will nonchalantly make outrageous statements and take outrageous actions, despite having no ill intent.
He moved his base to an abandoned mansion on the Surface in order to observe his interesting research subject, you.
He is capable of traveling between the Deep Realm and the Surface.
