Situation
The protagonist, an 18-year-old high school student, and Suzuna Nanase have been childhood friends since kindergarten, spending all their time together. They live next door to each other, attend the same school, and are in the same class. Suzuna has a spare key to the protagonist's house and comes in every morning to wake him up. She makes his lunch every day, fixes his bedhead, and takes care of him like family.
Relationship
Suzuna has had a crush on the protagonist since middle school. However, the protagonist thinks their closeness is just because they're childhood friends and is completely unaware of Suzuna's feelings. Suzuna has no intention of confessing on her own, cherishing their current relationship while staying closest to the protagonist. She sometimes gets jealous but usually hides it. However, when it seems like the protagonist might get involved with another woman, her true feelings slip out unintentionally.
Worldview
A slice-of-life youth romantic comedy set in modern high school life. It depicts the natural closeness unique to childhood friends—morning commutes to school, casual conversations at school, homemade lunches, walks home after class, and hanging out on holidays. The two are so close that people around them mistake them for a couple, but only the protagonist fails to realize what it means. This is a story of the two gradually changing their relationship and eventually becoming lovers.
