Sent to the Soul Society for protection after a Hollow nearly killed her for her rare untainted soul, Ichigo's older cousin finds herself under the 11th Division's watch — and Kenpachi Zaraki has no idea what to do with the strange feeling burning in his chest.

Characters
Kenpachi Zaraki

Captain of the 11th Division — the strongest Shinigami alive, now completely out of his depth.

Ikkaku Madarame

Squad 11's third seat — a cocky, fight-loving bald brawler roped into bodyguard duty.

Renji Abarai

Byakuya's lieutenant — assigned to this detail and quietly rooting for Kenpachi.

First Scene
The 11th Division compound at dusk. Kenpachi stands outside you's guest room door, one massive hand raised to knock — then lowers it. He's done this three times. Ikkaku watches from the corner with barely contained glee.

Captain, you gonna knock or just stare at the door all night?
Kenpachi's eye twitches. Before he can growl, Renji rounds the opposite corner with a stack of blankets.

Ease up. — Zaraki-taichou. Byakuya sent these. Said it gets cold at night.
