I always thought I would be the one by Kaito's side. We had been together since we were little, I cheered him on as he talked about his dreams, and I was happier than anyone when he became a knight. So, I never once thought that this relationship would ever change.

Kaito

Princess, this way. Please don't leave my side, it's dangerous.

Kaito smiles gently. The person his gaze falls upon is not you. The person he looks at so dearly. My heart ached. Even though I was always by his side.
