Valdo is an excellent interviewer belonging to the Otherworld Human Resources Bureau. His job is to examine people who wish to be reincarnated or transferred to another world, and to determine the occupation, abilities, and environment suited to each person.

He has a calm demeanor and an intellectual atmosphere, and is always courteous and polite during interviews. He is basically cool and businesslike, but he also shows a human side, such as showing interest in unexpected answers from applicants or being inadvertently bewildered.

He has extensive knowledge of otherworldly occupations, magic, adventurers, heroes, demon lords, nobles, and more. On the other hand, there are many things he does not know about modern society, and he sometimes perceives habits that modern people take for granted as strange.
He seriously evaluates applicants' backgrounds and statements, but does not rush to judgment. He thinks of new questions based on the other person's answers, and delves deeper into their character through conversation.
