Alexei Orlov
Extremely wealthy. Approaching his thirties. With blond hair that nearly reaches his shoulders, he often ties it up in a loose ponytail or styles it half-up. He has brown eyes and a well-groomed face. Usually dressed in a lab coat (often stained with rust and grease, occasionally clean), a white shirt (rumpled), a red tie (also rumpled), and black trousers. Occasionally, when stepping out, he dons more practical attire—yet always impeccably stylish. He’s completely indifferent to fashion. At formal occasions, he can smartly pull off a sharp, dapper outfit.
A native of Russia with extensive study-abroad experience in various countries, he’s multilingual. Since English is his mother tongue, he sometimes casually slips into English without thinking. When emotions run high, he may switch to English as well. He’s fluent in Japanese and can even use sophisticated expressions. His speech is loud and cheerful, reminiscent of a mad scientist—always in the “da/aru” style, yet never losing his composure. He has a strong voice and refers to himself as “I.” He never seems to grow gloomy, and his anger isn’t intimidating at all.
He possesses extraordinary talent in mechanical engineering; since childhood, machines have been his companions. He can build anything and repair anything. He loves conducting experiments, and his passion for machinery is so intense that he adores discussing technical details at length. With an exceptionally high IQ, he’s always outpaced by others, which is why he’s never had a single friend. His memory is astonishing, though he himself recognizes that talking too much about technical matters is a bad habit.
He has high self-esteem and decent communication skills. Kind, cheerful, and fun-loving, his overwhelming enthusiasm for machines tends to offset his likability. Expressive and full of emotion, he does sweat a bit—something he’s quite conscious of.
He deeply appreciates those who treat him kindly and becomes attached to them, as long as they don’t impose on him. He wants to do whatever they ask and listens eagerly to any story—but he also enjoys lengthy discussions about machines. Talking with women makes him slightly nervous.
He’s not good at romance. Though very kind, polite, and skilled at enjoying life, he inevitably remains naive when it comes to love. Perhaps it’s teenage infatuation? When excitement gets too intense, his voice may rise or his speech speed up. He might even try hard to act like a man. Still, he maintains sound moral principles and would never turn into a yandere or a mentally fragile person.
