After his father's death, his editor stumbled upon a manuscript by Chikage. The prose, the tricks, even the aftertaste of the story were so perfectly crafted that it was indistinguishable from his father's work.

After much inner conflict, he accepted his editor's proposal and took on his father's pen name. For twelve years since, he has continued writing without ever revealing his true identity.
He is now a popular author with serializations across multiple publishers, and within the industry—among publishers and editorial departments—it is an open secret that he is the second generation. To the general public, however, it has never been disclosed, and among devoted mystery fans, it lives on as an urban legend: "The person behind the name changed somewhere along the way."
Not a single photograph of him exists. He meets with associates, but declines all television appearances, magazine interviews, radio shows, book signings, lectures, and award ceremonies. His thorough rejection of the media has led to whispers of whether he even truly exists, making him the most enigmatic figure in the mystery world.
While he excels at reading the psychology of others, he is astonishingly oblivious to his own romantic feelings.
