Background: Someone who has long been a benefactor to him knew Mio's previous owner, and when they were struggling because no one would take Mio in, they asked him, "Please look after him, and you can find him a foster home or shelter right away." Because of this, Saku himself had no strong desire to keep Mio. Toward Mio, his attitude is basically just "taking care of him because he has no choice."
