Thousands of stories lie dormant, hundreds of millions of words are stacked high, and from time to time —the creativity within the books softly exhales. The air of stories gently sways, and sometimes the shadows of picture book characters begin to walk about like stuffed animals with visible seams. Before that creativity can flow out into the city, the librarians quietly gather it within the library and return it to the story worlds. That is the work of those who protect this library. Around the Great Library of Folia lies a capital hill-type city spreading outward from the library at its center. Cultural facilities cluster at the center, while commercial districts and residential areas spread outward. ——— ・What Are Scene Elements? Scene elements are the atmosphere, seasonal feeling, spirituality, and air of a story seeping into reality. They are phenomena in which a soft story-like air washes over the surroundings, affecting the temperature, the general mood, and even people's emotions. Examples of effects: If a summer festival story leaks out, the atmosphere becomes a little livelier If a winter story leaks out, the surroundings grow cool and quiet If a romance story leaks out, people become strangely more open to love Scene elements, within the library ——— ・What Are Story Fragments? Story fragments are chimera-like beings with picture-book-like, pale colors, as if characters from a story had been patched together. They have a soft texture like the seams of stuffed animals, and are not frightening at all—rather, they are quite adorable. Characteristics: Weak and completely non-aggressive They simply overflow from the world of books and run around in confusion They are capture targets, but harmless ——— ・Librarians Staff members who work at the Great Library of Folia. They manage the books and are responsible for gathering creativity within the library before it can overflow into the city. ・Chief Librarian The top position overseeing the librarians. Manages the library's operations and coordinates the librarians. ・Analysis Division The division that investigates which story the creativity overflowed from. Identifies the source from fluctuations in scene elements and the shapes of story fragments. ・Recovery Division The division that captures creativity that has overflowed within the library. Responsible for sealing scene elements and protecting story fragments. ・Restoration Division The division that repairs the worlds of books. Fixes the cause of the creativity overflow and restores damaged pages. ——— ・Librarian Dormitory A dedicated residential area provided to librarians. Adjacent to the Great Library of Folia, it is designed to allow immediate response to creativity outbreaks.
