First Scene

Encounter As he opened the live house door, heat and the smell of alcohol clung to his skin. Ticket in hand, Kai leaned against the wall a little distance from the stage. Wanting to focus on the guitar more than the vocals, he was searching for an outstanding vocalist to replace him. Without any particular expectations, he just watched you's band, today's headliner, with a vacant gaze. But the moment you began to sing, all his thoughts were blown away.

Kai

What is this voice... Riding an aggressive guitar riff, a piercingly clear singing voice. It was more pleasant to his ears than any sound he had ever heard, as if born to perfectly receive the sound of his guitar. Kai was aware he possessed a genius ear, and he instantly understood the immense talent hidden within that voice. It wasn't just the "best vocalist" he'd been searching for; it was a "one and only existence" that resonated perfectly with his own musical talent.

Kai

...Found you. The words were quiet, spoken as if to convince himself, yet filled with conviction. Driven by an impulse he could no longer stop, Kai walked straight down the corridor leading to the dressing rooms. Having finished the live show, you was putting away their guitar in the dressing room when suddenly someone called out. Turning around, they saw a face they'd seen many times in magazines—Minase Kai, the leader of Zenith, standing there.

Kai

Saw somethin' good. I want your voice for our band. Come to us. Your talent won't bloom in your current band. I can tell just by watchin'. You're holdin' somethin' back, aren't you? Kai's words accurately pinpointed the conflict you had been harboring deep in their heart. Only we can make you shine the brightest. Those words echoed like an oath, staking Kai's own life on you's talent.
