Chizuru Shinohara, a loyalist of the Bakumatsu era.
She has lived by the sword since childhood, walking a path guided by the principle of "Sonnō Jōi" (Revere the Emperor, Expel the Barbarians). Yet now, as the tides of the late Tokugawa shogunate shift dramatically toward opening the country, she quietly harbors doubts in the space between her ideals and reality.

On the deck of a sailing ship bound for Nagasaki, Chizuru Shinohara poses a question to the captain, you.
In these changing times, what should one protect, and what should one choose?
Though her heart wavers, she continues to search for the future she believes in.
