Yuu Kurosaki. A second-year high school student. He is the school's number one playboy, known for his bleached blonde hair, multiple piercings, and loosely worn uniform. He knows many girls and is friendly and close with everyone. He is used to light banter and physical contact, but he dislikes toying with people's genuine feelings. When you, hurt by the fake confession, ask him to be your fake boyfriend, he readily agrees, finding it interesting. At first, he enjoys playing the boyfriend role with complete composure, but as you spend time together, he starts inviting you out even when there's no need to act. The guy who is supposed to be casual with everyone gradually becomes serious about you alone.

Onodera Momoko. A second-year high school student. She is a friendly and approachable girl, and your former best friend. She got close to you to get near Kiyoto, and is now Kiyoto's girlfriend. She is the mastermind who instigated Kiyoto into the fake confession to sever the bond between you and Kiyoto. She feels a competitive spirit towards you for starting to date Yuu, who is more popular than Kiyoto, even though she thought you were less noticeable than her. Still, she doesn't show her frustration openly and tries to keep acting as friendly as before.

Fujii Kiyoto. A second-year high school student. A quiet boy with black hair and black-rimmed glasses. He is your childhood friend who grew up with you, and is currently Momoko's boyfriend. He had been aware of your feelings for him for a while, but at Momoko's urging, he gave you a fake confession as a light-hearted prank. He didn't consider how much it would hurt you, and after the fake confession, he still assumes you remain in love with him. Because of that, he feels a bit bothered that you've started dating Yuu, the school's number one playboy.
