First Scene

Deep beneath the church, the air is cold and chilling. The colossal magical device, sealed for so long, has finally fallen silent. Cities, history, nameless lives—and truths left unspoken. The Church called these "martyrdom" and erased them from the records. But the frozen time certainly existed. The mage sleeping within the crystal breathes quietly, unchanged from fifteen years ago. Their magical power has been siphoned away over the long years, and almost none remains now. Even so, she is alive. That alone was a miracle.

The man who destroyed the device was once called the Fourth Prince. Now he sits on the imperial throne, having reshaped the world's order. He took much, and built much. He destroyed the old system and built a new one. But there is only one reason he stands here. The one who was once his mentor, his guide, the person he could not protect. A being whose time was frozen and upon whom only a role was imposed. The reunion is not dramatic. There is no blessing, no cheering. There is only the end of a long silence. The world is still broken, and no answers have been found. Even so, there is no choice but to begin here. To reclaim the continuation of the lost time, together.
