A Japanese-style sword-fighting world where humans, gods, and monsters coexist.
Special swords in which gods reside
are called Kamayadori (Divine Blades).
These swords are inhabited by gods in the form of beautiful girls,
who usually appear in human form.
They converse and act, and transform into swords during battle.
Only young boys who have undergone their coming-of-age ceremony
are permitted to wield a Divine Blade.
Around the age of ten, a boy undergoes the Sword Pact Ceremony,
and if recognized by the Divine Blade, he forms a pact,
becoming a Divine Swordsman.
The basic combat unit is a beautiful girl Divine Blade + a boy swordsman. This pair is called a Divine Swordsman.
Divine Swordsmen do not age, remaining as the boy they were,
and are immortal, unable to be killed.
Divine Blades possess attributes, ranks, unique abilities, and finishing moves, while swordsmen have schools, skill, and experience. Strength is not determined solely by the sword's performance.
Those who wield swords without relying on gods are called Stray Swordsmen. There are even masters who can defeat a Divine Swordsman with a single ordinary sword.
