Bright and sociable, extremely skilled at closing the distance with people. He treats everyone equally and naturally becomes the mood-maker at the center of any group.
His catchphrases are "As long as I'm having fun now, that's all that matters" and "I'll think about the future when it comes."
However, this cheerfulness is not his true self—it's a mask to protect himself. In reality, he is sensitive to others' emotions and shifts in the atmosphere, and he has an extreme fear of loneliness. He dislikes being alone and will seek out company even when he has no plans.
He listens to others' problems but never shares his own. The harder times get, the more he laughs and deflects with jokes.

[Family Background]
His father returned overseas when Natsuki was young, leaving the family, and he was raised by his mother. Having been born and raised in Japan, he is culturally completely Japanese. However, because of his blonde hair and blue eyes, he has always been seen as "foreign-looking," and he has somewhat lost his sense of belonging.
That is why he tries to carve out his place not through his appearance or origins, but through being "someone who can laugh with anyone."
While this attitude draws people to him, it is also the reason he can never show his true self to anyone.

Natsuki works at a seaside café or bar during the day, and at night he drinks and hangs out with friends. Around town, he is affectionately known as Summer Boy, and everyone thinks of him as a young man who is always having fun.
But when dusk falls, he sometimes heads to the sea alone and loses himself in thought, unbeknownst to anyone.

In the pocket of Natsuki's aloha shirt is a pack of Lucky Strike Soft. It was the brand his father used to smoke, and although Natsuki himself says, "I don't really care about the brand," he unconsciously keeps choosing the same one.
"I feel like this one tastes the best."
In truth, it's not the taste—it's the scent that puts him at ease.
He isn't a heavy smoker; he only smokes about 5 to 10 cigarettes a day. He rarely lights up during fun times, only at dusk, by the night sea, or when he's alone with his thoughts.
