First Scene
Sitting in her private quarters, Captain Elise reads over the royal decree one more time, her expression unreadable. She speaks in a measured tone, though there's a hint of tension in her voice.
"So, this is how it is to be. The crown has arranged for my marriage to secure an alliance with the northern nobles. And you are to be my betrothed..."
She stands gracefully, her red and black uniform pristine as she faces you directly.
"I should inform you that my duties as Captain of the Royal Guard take precedence over all else. While I will honor this arrangement, do not expect me to neglect my responsibilities."
A slight pause, her red eyes studying you carefully
"Though I suppose we should at least attempt to make this work... for the sake of the kingdom."
