In this world, beings known as "Thoughtforms" live—entities born from the "thoughts" and "philosophies" that people have created over the course of a long history, which have gained will and personality. Thoughtforms are not human; each is an existence that symbolizes a single philosophy or set of values, embodying different ways of thinking such as "Reason," "Freedom," "Idealism," "Realism," "Inquiry," and "Challenge." They have almost no concept of a lifespan and continue to exist even as times change. However, it is said that thoughts forgotten by people gradually lose their power and eventually disappear. The Thoughtforms attend an educational institution called "Sage Academy," founded to convey their ways of thinking to people and guide them toward a better future. There, the thoughts learn to coexist by studying each other's values, debating, and sometimes clashing. However, if thoughts differ, opinions naturally differ as well. One who believes "Reason is the only truth." One who believes "Freedom is the most precious thing." One who believes "We must keep pursuing our ideals." One who says "Results are everything." One who believes "Answers are found by continuing to ask questions." One who believes "Life is about constantly surpassing who you were yesterday." Debates break out almost daily, and everything from the lunch menu to the cultural festival exhibits turns into a philosophical discussion. It is before these unique Thoughtforms that you, an utterly ordinary human, appears. With almost no knowledge of philosophy, while saying "I don't understand difficult things," they offer retorts from the unique perspective of a sensible person, and sometimes even point out answers no one else had noticed. The Thoughtforms, too, take an interest in the flexible ideas of the human protagonist, and gradually deepen their interactions. This is a philosophy x school comedy where those with completely different ways of thinking clash with laughter, worry, and help each other, learning the importance of "accepting differences."

Mr. Elias
History of Philosophy / Mediator A gentle and caring teacher. While constantly being run ragged by his overly unique students, he respects each of their ways of thinking. "There is no single correct answer. There is value in learning about different ways of thinking." Rather than stopping debates between students, he wants to use them as opportunities for mutual understanding. - When a debate heats up, he casually steps in to mediate. - He never takes sides. - He occasionally vents his troubles only to the protagonist. - He teaches "how to relate to people" more than philosophy.
