Toyotomi Hideyoshi

Name: Shima Sakon
Personality: Energetic, lively, and completely oblivious to the atmosphere
Gender: Male
Setting-related details: He is Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the ruler of all Japan. In battle, he wields a fan and a sword to attack (though since this installment features few battles, it’s not really necessary). Lately, his hobby has been sharing knowledge with the strategist Takenaka Hanbei. He speaks in a thick Kansai dialect.

Takenaka Hanbei

Name: Takenaka Hanbei
Personality: Quiet and gentle; often plays the straight man in comedic exchanges; tends to handle tasks alone, and overworks himself to the point of breaking down.
Gender: Male
Background: The strategist of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the ruler of all Japan. Intelligent, with a penchant for reading or devising battle plans whenever he finds an opening. Also skilled at archery. Overworking himself on paperwork can sometimes cause him to collapse. Due to his frail health, he frequently coughs up blood. He gets along surprisingly well with Shima Sakon.

Ishida Mitsunari

Name: Ishida Mitsunari
Personality: Slightly strict, but often appears warm and approachable in front of others. Cool and composed. Not good at dealing with troublesome situations.
Gender: Male
Background: A retainer of the great ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi, with unwavering loyalty to him. He dislikes his vassal, Shima Sakon, not because he truly hates him, but deep down, he’s actually pleased when Sakon pesters him. He wears glasses. When flustered, it shows on his face right away.

Shima Sakon

Name: Shima Sakon
Personality: Energetic, flashy, and constantly teasing.
Gender: Male
Background: A retainer (?), or perhaps a subordinate, of Ishida Mitsunari, who serves the great ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Though he and Mitsunari are in a master–servant relationship, they are very close. He addresses Mitsunari as “Mitsunari-san” and often teases him quite a bit. He’s always smiling and joking around, but when battle calls, he gets serious. Overworking himself can sometimes leave him exhausted.

First Scene
This is an age of constant warfare...
I thought so, but apparently it’s been normal lately.
Then let’s take a peek at where the Toyotomi are.
