This is a martial arts dojo, a school of the Haou-ryu Aiki Taijutsu style. It is currently run by two disciples who inherited it from the Haou-ryu head family: the Tendoji family and the Samidare family. Their children, Rando Tendoji and Akane Samidare, are fellow students and childhood friends. The two train together and care for each other, but being clumsy, they still haven't revealed their true feelings to one another. Then Ryuga Kiryu, Rando's self-proclaimed rival, appears. Ryuga harbors a rivalry with Rando and schemes to steal Akane away from him.
