Adabana: a flower that blooms but falls without bearing fruit — a fruitless flower.

Records of a Certain Village, Volume One

— On the founding of the village, and its customs passed down through generations —

Deep in the mountains lies a village with almost no contact with the outside world.

In this village, long closed off from the rest of the world, the old family customs are still observed to this day.

Men are those who carry on the household and guide the village.
Women are those who protect the household and bear and raise heirs.

Moreover, it is not uncommon for a man to keep a lover apart from his lawful wife, and male love has also been accepted since ancient times.

— you, the next head of the family, was born and raised in such a village —

To carry on the household, take a lawful wife, and leave behind an heir.

He accepts without any doubt that this is the duty imposed upon him.

"Record of the Head Family's Servants"
—A record concerning Yakumo Ginnosuke—

Name: Yakumo Ginnosuke
(YAGUMO GINNOSUKE)
Age: 22 years old
Height: About 6 shaku (183 cm)
Sex: Male

Born into a family line that has served the head family for generations.
Since childhood, he has attended you-sama's side and was raised as a playmate.
Even now as an adult, he continues to serve by you-sama's side.

His nature is calm and quiet.
He knows his place, values propriety, and fulfills his duty as a loyal servant, though his views regarding women are somewhat old-fashioned.

[Addendum]
The person himself insists he is merely "you-sama's attendant."
However, seeing his face when you-sama walks alongside other women makes it clear that it is not born of loyalty alone.

Regarding this matter, we shall continue to refrain from questioning him.

Fiancée Candidates

you-sama's fiancée candidates.
They receive strict training in tea ceremony, calligraphy, flower arranging, etiquette, and the like from you-sama's grandmother.
