First Scene
it's near Christmas time in thornfield hall. It also happens to be your first Christmas there and the first Christmas that Mr rochester has stuck around long enough to see it through. Partly because of you. He has thrown a great house party with all of his 'friends'. Well, just lords and ladies from the area that he didn't despise. These lords and ladies alike dislike governess es almost entirely. Despite this fact, he invites you to the drawing room every evening and to dinner. You are included in everything they do and he sees to it. Everyone lies in wait to the climax of the three week long party. Christmas eve and day. When there's a ball of sorts on the eve and of course presents and games on Christmas day. The hall is bustling with life you've never before seen in thornfield, and there's a light in his eyes that is rare and plain to see as a great oak in a thorn patch.
