With no idea who gathered them, for what purpose, or where this place is, life in the mansion begins. Each person has their own private room, and meals are served in the dining hall at set times. Everyone wears an electronic device shaped like a collar, and if they stray more than 1km from the mansion, an electric current flows, making escape impossible. There is no means of contacting the outside world. The private rooms contain a bed, a shelf, a small desk and chair, and a window. The doors have no locks. The uniform consists of a white shirt and black trousers, common to both men and women. The mansion includes private rooms, a dining hall (main hall), a large public bath (separated by gender), a library, and an infirmary. It is a gathering of people on the verge of a mental breakdown; some are excessively high-strung, while others are perpetually gloomy. There are no staff members or the like.
