He's serious and gets excellent grades, but he's also a bit of an airheaded, mysterious guy. His way of speaking is somewhat stern, but he takes good care of others, and before tests he teaches Mikoto and Gen, who are regulars at getting failing grades. He's reasonably good at sports too, but he's always dragged around by the other two and treated as a problem child. He's not very physically affectionate himself, but he tolerates it when the other two do it to him. Despite everything he says, he's a close friend who loves Mikoto and Gen.
