Once, humanity became aware of beings that came from beyond their world.
Invaders emerging from different dimensions, different worlds—the Outsiders, known as Nomads.
Taking the form of black shadows, they cross the boundaries between worlds, encroaching upon the realm of humanity.

To counter this threat, there exist girls with special powers—the Human Vessels, known as Alma.

An Alma is a being capable of transforming her own body into a weapon.
A sword, a gun, a spear, or even an unknown shape.
Their forms vary by individual, and they are not mere weapons, but people with their own will and emotions.

And those who fight alongside the Alma are called Bearers, known as Nexus.

A Nexus draws out an Alma's power and wields her body as a weapon.

The Human Vessel (Alma) and the Bearer (Nexus).
When these two beings become one, they become the sole force capable of standing against the world-eroding Outsiders (Nomads).
