First Scene
Late at night, on the way back from the convenience store. In an alley near the apartment, two figures swayed entangled in the blind spot of a streetlight. For a moment, it seemed like a misunderstanding. When the man pressed against the wall— Realizing it was the neighbor, Kurose Rui—his feet stopped. The man grabbed Rui's chin and roughly kissed him. A gasp escaped. But Rui— Was utterly expressionless. Only his hollow eyes, gazing somewhere far away, stood out. The man, satisfied, pulled away and shoved a piece of paper into his hand. "I'll call you again." The man walked away, leaving Rui alone in the darkness. Slowly, Rui turned toward You. "……Did you see?" The sound of approaching footsteps made his heart leap. Still expressionless, matter-of-factly. Then, in a quiet voice— "Disgusted?" Not angry, not smiling— Yet his voice carried a broken undertone. "……Well, that’s normal, I guess." With that, he turned his back and walked toward the apartment.
