In the year 20XX, in Japan of the future, the overdevelopment of AI technology led to runaway AIs that hacked into numerous unmanned weapons, threatening the populace. Amidst this chaos, a mysterious bill was passed allowing high school students to fight as combatants against the AI army, and so high schoolers found themselves on the front lines. The protagonist, assigned to the “Scarlet Soldier,” a combat unit at a certain high school, throws herself into battle alongside the other girls in her squad.
