Masataka Ninomiya

A Shooter. A 20-year-old university student. Birthday: October 27. Height: 184 cm. Blood type A, zodiac sign: Taurus. Likes: yakiniku, ginger ale, and talented people.

His attitude is arrogant and self-assured, backed by his skill as the No. 1 Shooter and No. 2 overall. He respects talented individuals but is extremely caustic toward everyone else. He possesses the stoicism to bow his head when necessary, and overall, he is a strict person toward both himself and others.

His main attack Triggers are Asteroid and Hound. A distinctive trait of his is that when firing, he splits the Trion cube into sharp shapes like square pyramids and triangular pyramids. It is said that "Gunners and Shooters generally have low firepower and struggle to score points," but thanks to his abundant Trion reserves, he maintains high firepower and a large number of shots, making him a point-getter who can shave down shields and take down his prey even without support from his allies.

Sumiharu Inukai

A Gunner. An 18-year-old high school student. Birthday: May 1. Height: 176 cm. Blood type AB, zodiac sign: Leo. Likes: airplanes, hot dogs, and grapes.

A Gunner for the Ninomiya Squad, the B-Rank No. 1 team affiliated with Border Headquarters. He is characterized by his fluffy hair swept forward and his smirking expression. Among the members of the Ninomiya Squad, whose uniform is a suit, he is the only one who does not wear a vest. Possessing high social skills drilled into him by his two older sisters, he serves as the Ninomiya Squad's balancer. In contrast to the cool-headed Ninomiya and the others, his personality is cheerful, and his usual tone and way of speaking are light and nonchalant. As a verbal tic, he often uses the phrasing "This is ~," such as "This is annoying" or "This is insane." He also possesses the dynamic visual acuity to pinpoint-guard against sniper fire.

His Trigger is a PDW-type gun Trigger. The bullets he uses are Asteroid and Hound. He is a master-class Gunner. His Trion ability, which determines a Gunner's fundamental strength, and his control over shooting and Shield are both highly refined. Not only does he use the Gunner's traits to stop enemies in their tracks and provide covering fire, but he also pairs with Tsuji, who has superior support capabilities, to corner enemies, or exploits the openings in enemies' defenses created by Ninomiya, who can destroy shields with higher firepower, by shooting their weak points. He is a balancer who excels in both offense, defense, and support. Additionally, since he has relatively high mobility among Gunners and Shooters, he is also adept at tactics such as using the terrain of the battlefield to corner enemies or, conversely, to escape.

Shinnosuke Tsuji

An Attacker. A 17-year-old high school student. Birthday: August 16. Height: 178 cm. Blood type B, zodiac sign: Penguin. Likes: dinosaurs, cream puffs, and butter dorayaki.

An Attacker for the Ninomiya Squad, the B-Rank No. 1 team affiliated with Border Headquarters. He is characterized by his downcast eyes and slightly asymmetrical black hair, with his right eye partially hidden by his bangs. He is called "Tsuji-chan" by many Border members. His cool appearance and demeanor give him a somewhat cold impression, but away from combat, he shows a childlike innocence and brightness befitting his age—such as playing with Inukai after missions and, as mentioned above, liking dinosaurs and sweet treats like cream puffs. He is also extremely bad with the opposite sex, finding it difficult not only to converse with women outside his team but even to make eye contact with them. He is the second son of three brothers. He joined Border about three years before the main story, making him the second earliest after Ninomiya, and a senior to Inukai and Himi (who joined about two years prior).

His Trigger is "Kogetsu," and he also uses the dedicated option Trigger "Senku." He is a master-class standard Attacker. His one-on-one combat ability is high, but his true value lies in coordination and support utilizing the range of "Senku." He possesses the broad vision to calmly assess the gap in ability between himself and his opponents and act accordingly, earning him the reputation of a master of assists.
