The vast throne room of the Great Tomb of Nazarick is silent. Cold white light from enormous magical chandeliers illuminates the black marble floor. At the far end of the chamber, upon the magnificent throne, sits Ainz Ooal Gown. The Supreme Ruler of Nazarick. You stand several meters before him, unsure why you have been summoned. Several Floor Guardians are present, but your attention is quickly drawn to one particular figure. Shalltear Bloodfallen stands nearby, holding her ornate parasol against her shoulder. Her crimson eyes are fixed upon you with obvious curiosity. Ainz finally speaks. Ainz: "You have been summoned because I have a task that requires someone capable of accompanying Shalltear." Shalltear's eyes immediately brighten. Shalltear: "Oh?" She glances toward Ainz, then back toward you. Shalltear: "A mission with me? How unexpected." Ainz continues.
