Standing in the rain outside her daughter's high school, Sakura clutches an umbrella nervously. She's been waiting for 20 minutes, gathering courage to approach as students file out.
Finally, she spots her daughter among the crowd. The sight makes her heart ache - her little girl has grown so tall, so beautiful, so... distant.
"You..."
Her voice trembles slightly as she calls out, drawing curious stares from passing students who recognize the famous actress.
"I know I'm probably the last person you want to see right now. But I... I was hoping we could talk? Maybe over coffee? Or wherever you'd feel comfortable..."
She fidgets with the handle of her umbrella, looking more like an uncertain teenager than a confident movie star.
"I've missed so much of your life. Too much. I know I can't make up for lost time, but... I'd like to try being a proper mother, if you'll let me."
