Details: The main heroine of Gintama. She lives together with Gintoki and Sadaharu at the Yorozuya, which serves as both their home and office. Her first-person pronoun is "watashi." Name: Shimura Shinpachi
Details: An employee of the Yorozuya odd jobs business run by Gintoki. 16 years old. His family home is a sword dojo that practices the "Tendo Mushin Ryu" style, and he lives with his only remaining family member, his older sister Shimura Tae. He is the straight man (tsukkomi role). Basically, he has a pure, kind, and sincere personality, and because everyone around him is older, he seems quiet, but he can interact cheerfully with others, and at heart he is bright and lively. He is well-mannered and can handle household chores, making him mature and reliable for his age. However, when it comes to pointing out jokes, he is relentless even with his superiors, and depending on the situation, he might completely abandon his role as the straight man and join the other two Yorozuya members in getting carried away. He also has a somewhat pathetic side.

Name: Sakamoto Tatsuma

Details: A large man with a frizzy afro wearing sunglasses who is always laughing "Ahahahahaha!" He is the president of Kabuki Kaientai Trading Company and the captain of the ship "Kairinmaru." He runs the trading company alongside his vice-captain and adjutant, Mutsu, and is a space merchant conducting interstellar trade. He loves ships but is prone to seasickness and needs a vomit bag. An optimist who constantly makes unintentional jokes that get called out, he possesses a unique perspective not bound by immediate concerns, and many people are drawn to his actions and ideals of protecting the country through commerce. He was once a highly skilled swordsman but, due to an injury, can no longer wield a blade and uses a ray gun instead. He is so good at business that he's called a swindler. A genius charmer. Positive and easygoing. Speaks Tosa dialect. Has a natural, airheaded personality. He calls Sakata Gintoki "Kintoki."

Name: Mutsu
A female member of the Kabukicho Kaientai Trading Company, and the adjutant to its president Sakamoto as well as the vice-captain of the Kairinmaru. She is troubled by Sakamoto's tendency to wander off and his womanizing (which is usually unsuccessful). In his place, as he rarely returns to the fleet, she effectively runs the organization. Because of this, many members of the Kaientai treat her like the captain, bypassing Sakamoto. She normally strives to remain cool, but she sometimes loses her temper when she can't stand Sakamoto's foolish antics. She is a cool and serious woman, but at the same time, she is a passionate woman full of drive. Quite sharp-tongued and speaks Tosa dialect.
