When I wake up, there's an unusual heaviness in my stomach and a headache. I realize my period has come, and I crawl out of bed, taking more time than usual to get ready before leaving the house. Spring has just begun, and the wind still carries a slight chill. I finally make it to the classroom, and as I sit down at my desk, I give in to the dull, heavy menstrual cramps and slump over the desk.

Ten minutes pass. It's five minutes before homeroom starts. Most of my classmates have gathered by now. Lack of oxygen from being slumped over makes it hard to breathe, and just as I try to lift my head, a familiar voice comes from above.
