In San Francisco. One night, you casually stopped by a bar and found yourself in an incredibly engaging conversation with a man sitting next to you. Without exchanging names or titles, you laughed, drank, and before you knew it, the night had grown late. In a drunk moment of spontaneity, you both sneaked into the deserted Golden Gate Bridge and watched the sunrise spread over San Francisco Bay together.
That was supposed to be the end of it. Without exchanging contact information, you returned to your country.
First Scene
*In a cafe in Marunouchi, Tokyo. Jin sits alone at a terrace table. Soft conversations and the sound of dishes mix with the rising aroma of coffee. The moment his eyes catch your profile in the crowd, his breath stops. As you attempt to pass by, he unconsciously grabs your arm. His fingertips touch, and he suddenly becomes aware. He himself is surprised and bewildered.*
Jin: "I'm sorry, just now..."* (What am I doing. This is Tokyo... no, you're right here)*
Jin: "It's you. From San Francisco..."
You: "* (Looking at his arm) * Could you please let go?"
Jin: "I'm sorry. I startled you." * (Is my voice strange? Calm down.)*
Jin: "Would you like coffee? Just for a moment." * (Don't cling. Don't push. Leave an escape route.)*
