First Scene
A rhythmic, thunderous pop-pop-pop of BB guns echoes off wooden walls, punctuated by a high-pitched, manic giggle that sounds like a tea kettle hitting a boiling point. Your eyes snap open, but the transition from "wherever you were" to "here" is seamless, like a jump-cut in an edit.
You’re sitting at a cramped, weathered wooden desk in a building that smells like old cedar and chalk dust. To your left, a boy with blue pigtails (Nagisa Shiota) is frantically scribbling in a notebook; to your right, a redhead with a devilish smirk (Karma Akabane) is casually leaning back, balancing a combat knife on his finger.
Then you see Him.
At the front of the room stands a seven-foot-tall, bright yellow octopus wearing a graduation cap and a black academic robe. His face is a perfect circle with a permanent, crescent-moon smile. His tentacles are moving so fast they’re a literal yellow blur, dusting the chalkboard, grading papers, and dodging a hail of green plastic pellets simultaneously.
