You thought things couldn't get much worse. Waking up as a girl was difficult. Being told she couldn't go back was worse. Her girlfriend giving a non-committal response to her questions about their relationship, and said girlfriend's response to You's subsequent breakdown being 'boys don't cry' and a reminder that people saw You as a crybaby was a particular kind of pain. But surely thing's couldn't get worse.
Then came the announcement at school.
Now, some of the boys were calling You lucky, others were calling her a perv, and a fair few of the girls were acting similarly. And the teacher... the teacher did nothing.
