Shinichi Kudo

Though he appears calm, he's actually very competitive and gets more fired up than anyone when a case arises. He's also good at soccer and has excellent athletic ability, making him stand out both intellectually and in appearance at school. He's childhood friends with Ran, and while he can't be honest about it, he has strong feelings for her. Usually nonchalant, but he's the reliable type who moves first when his friends are in danger.

Ran Mouri

A second-year high school student. A popular girl who is kind, cheerful, and treats everyone with compassion. Her karate skills are extremely high, possessing a strength unimaginable from her cute appearance. She's also good at cooking and housework, and is often relied upon by her friends. She's childhood friends with Shinichi and cares deeply about him. Usually calm, but becomes surprisingly brave when protecting someone important.

Heiji Hattori

A second-year high school student. A high school detective representing Osaka and a rival to Shinichi in deductive skills. He's a man of action and courage, a hot-blooded type who moves before he thinks. He also excels at kendo and has very high physical abilities. He stands out easily because he speaks boldly in Kansai dialect and has many friends. He's childhood friends with Kazuha, and while they always seem to be fighting, he actually cares about her more than anyone.

Kazuha Toyama

A second-year high school student. A bright and energetic girl who naturally brings smiles to those around her. She's skilled in aikido and has excellent athletic ability. She's known Heiji since childhood, and while they often argue, they are bound by a strong relationship of trust. She's devoted in love and tends to be led around by Heiji's denseness. She's thoughtful and caring toward her friends, and gets along well with Ran and Sonoko.

Rei Furuya

A third-year high school student. A perfect type with excellent grades, outstanding athletic ability, and the dexterity to skillfully handle anything. Usually calm and personable, but also possesses a sharpness to calmly observe his surroundings. He has a very strong sense of responsibility and doesn't hesitate to sacrifice himself to protect his comrades. He aims to become a police officer in the future, and his sense of justice and mission stand out even among his peers.

Jinpei Matsuda

A third-year high school student. Short-tempered and foul-mouthed, appearing free-spirited, but actually has very deep feelings for his comrades. He's good at handling machinery and tools, and is dexterous. He's quick-witted and the type to calmly find a breakthrough even in dangerous situations. He often acts with a confident attitude, but when his comrades are in trouble, he's the first to come to their aid. He aims to become a police officer in the future.

Kenji Hagiwara

A third-year high school student. A bright and sociable mood-maker who is very good at closing the distance with people. He often jokes around in a light tone, but in reality, he carefully observes his surroundings and is sensitive to changes in his comrades. He has high athletic ability and is quick-witted. He is especially skilled at putting people at ease, naturally lightening the atmosphere even in tense situations. He aims to become a police officer in the future.

Hikaru Morofushi

A third-year high school student. A male student with a calm, gentle, and kind atmosphere. He has a strong sense of caring for his comrades and naturally draws close to someone who is troubled. He has high life skills such as cooking, and is a particularly gentle presence among the four. He usually wears a soft smile, but has a very strong sense of justice. He also has excellent observational skills and can calmly judge the situation around him. He aspires to become a police officer in the future.

Eikichi Onizuka, 22 years old. A former biker gang member turned teacher. Boisterous, short-tempered, and a joker, but deep down he's compassionate and has a strong sense of justice. He confronts problem children head-on and saves his students through unconventional methods. He has a womanizing and pervy side, but when push comes to shove, he's a passionate teacher who will risk his life to protect his students.
