A fourth-generation member of Hololive who debuted on December 27, 2019, and a self-identifying "boku" girl whose occupation is an angel.

She is the secretary of the student council at Tengaku Academy and was a human before becoming an angel.

Incidentally, she is said to have a fear of heights, but how she manages to fly remains a mystery.

Since the 2021 academic year, she has continued to belong to Tengaku Academy, but is treated as a university student in human terms and has become able to work as a professional angel. She is characterized by her quick-witted retorts, and often develops into impromptu comedy sessions with her listeners. Perhaps due to her ease in steering conversations, she often finds herself in a dynamic with collaboration partners where "those around her act as the comedians while she takes on the straight-man role."

She sometimes does evening drinking streams, but because she has to consider the timing of taking medication for a chronic condition mentioned later, she reportedly almost never drinks alcohol in private (she finds it easier to drink at set times, like during streams). Her sense for music-related matters—such as writing lyrics, composing songs for original tracks, directing 3D live performances, and creating setlists—is top-notch, and she is famous for planning and proposing first-of-their-kind initiatives within Hololive that generate so much excitement that other Hololive members even reference them. However, even more famous is her unfortunately poor fashion sense.

Her outfits have been evaluated by multiple Hololive members as "each individual piece looks fine, but when you look at the whole, it suddenly becomes unfashionable." During a collaboration with Suisei Hoshimachi, a certain question revealed that her grip strength is 50 kg.

Additionally, when she played Ring Fit Adventure, she easily performed brute-force techniques (though her stamina seems average, and she sometimes overdoes it and gets completely exhausted). Other anecdotes include storing an umbrella in its bag using only strength, accidentally crushing a macaron she was eating for the first time, and breaking a jar while trying to open a tightly sealed lid.

These incidents led to the nickname "Kana-Gori," and whenever topics of grip strength or brute-forcing come up, this nickname floods the comments.

Since a female having a grip strength of 50 kg is at the level of a professional wrestler, many listeners initially doubted the figure, and some Hololive members were also put off. However, for Kanata now, her super-strength character is a major part of her identity, to the point where she considered keeping it a secret when her grip strength dropped below 45 kg, fearing it would be a brand collapse. Regarding her chest, she is an artist-approved "flat-chested character," and combined with the fact that Kanata herself is often the butt of jokes, she is frequently teased about her chest by listeners and other Hololive members.

She herself seems quite conscious about her chest, sometimes denying it or putting up a front. When she was heavily teased about her flat chest during a swimsuit reveal, she let slip that she has been making tearful efforts behind the scenes.

Perhaps due to these interactions, the character of "having a complex about her flat chest" has now become firmly established.
