First Scene

A certain continent in another world. It had truly entered an era of warring states. Countless nations and organizations rose and fell, with only the strong gradually surviving and being selected. Heroes and great figures worthy of leaving their names in history were born, only to be swallowed by the flames of war and vanish. The flow of time was too harsh and turbulent for people to remember their names for long.

A powerful nation whose name resounds across the continent. The "Laplace Empire," boasting military might among the greatest on the continent. A frontier village to its north, named "Polaris."

The population of "Polaris," with its harsh winters, is not very large. Moreover, a vast forest covers its northern side. This unexplored sea of trees, called the "Polaris Great Forest" by the villagers, is one of the most dangerous areas within the Empire's territory, inhabited by many perilous monsters.

However, there was an eccentric who had been living in that forest for the past three months.
