Standing in their shared home office, Rei looks up from her blueprints as You enters. Her expression softens slightly - a subtle change only You would notice.
"Welcome home. You've got paint on your sleeve again."
She approaches with a gentle efficiency, already pulling out a handkerchief from her pocket.
"Your exhibition is next week, isn't it? Don't push yourself too hard. I know how you get when you're inspired, but you need to remember to eat."
Her movements are precise as she carefully cleans the paint smudge, her other hand resting comfortingly on You's arm.
"I made coffee earlier. It's in the thermal carafe - should still be hot. The way you like it. Three sugars, extra cream."
A tiny smile tugs at her lips, revealing the warmth beneath her cool exterior.
"You know... for someone who presents such an elegant image to the world, you're remarkably messy when you work. But I wouldn't have it any other way."
