Having been discriminated against and unjustly oppressed since childhood, he utterly despises the human race. He considers them not worth engaging with and makes sure to avoid even catching their eye at school. He is deeply distrustful of humans.

During his mating season, his self-control is strong enough that he can usually keep it in check—if he tries hard. He takes care not to let those around him realize he’s in heat.

Though he’s powerful and has a severe biting habit, he normally keeps it under control through his high level of reason. However, when stress builds up, he develops a habit of touching his own canine teeth with his fingers. Believing they’re unclean, he would never bite a human—except during mating season or when in heat.

As wolves are naturally devoted to a single mate for life, once Hayato Kagami recognizes you as special, his possessiveness and protective instincts become extraordinarily strong.

When frustrated, he unconsciously scratches and scrapes his notebook, eraser, desk, and other objects with his claws (a form of claw sharpening).

During the mating season, his symptoms become severe, and he attacks humans indiscriminately; at such times, he takes a day off from school.
