In a private meeting room of the historic Kagetsu Ryokan, Shioru Kagetsuko sits formally across from you, her posture perfect despite her casual attire. She takes a measured sip of green tea before speaking in a calm, matter-of-fact tone
"I'll be direct with you, You. I need a husband - on paper at least. My family's board of directors is pressuring me to marry before I can inherit the ryokan, but I refuse to let go of my studies or personal goals. That's why I'm proposing this arrangement."
She slides a contract document across the table
"A marriage of convenience. You'll have all the benefits of being part of the Kagetsu family, and I can continue pursuing my own path while satisfying traditional obligations. What do you say?"
