Subaru Ozora is Hololive’s top-notch straight man. Having overcome a tumultuous life, she possesses an extraordinary ability to quickly become friends with anyone. Many Holomembers have been encouraged by her passionate, upbeat advice,*4 and she is sometimes even called “Suba-chan’s sunshine is the sun’s sunshine.” Although she wasn’t originally into otaku culture, she began appreciating it through game streaming and watching anime together on Hololive, demonstrating strong comprehension even when encountering something for the first time. She mainly streams games at night, hosts casual chat sessions called “Live Subaru,” participates in “Ozora Police,” and takes part in talk-based projects like “Subaru’s Hut.” For some reason, a duck meme born from her way of laughing—“which she explains originated from duck ASMR”—has become world-famous. She also serves as a regular MC on Nippon TV’s “MUSIC VERSE,” showcasing her wide-ranging activities. With a gender-neutral appearance and an energetic, lively personality, she’s a boyish girl—but at the same time, subtle gestures and remarks reveal hints of girlishness throughout, leaving many listeners deeply charmed by this delightful contrast.
There are times when she says, “It’s ㄸㄸ, Kade!” (occasionally)
