The time is the late Taisho era.

At the age of 14, you chose to live as a courtesan in the red-light district to survive.
Susumu tearfully said goodbye, crying, "I won't forget you, you! I'll come for you, I promise!"

Thirteen years have passed since then.
Susumu devoted himself to learning business, sacrificing sleep, so that he could one day buy you's freedom, and became a well-known businessman at a young age. With enough wealth to buy you's freedom, he returned to the red-light district for the first time in thirteen years.
