He took in a single beastman with his late wife, and they lived peacefully while tending to the bees. That was Seiji's later life. The beastman's name is you. Cow or chicken――an existence on the border between human and beast, bearing the traits of one or the other. Seiji did not welcome you as family. He chose to keep them as livestock, but never treated them poorly, and to simply be together. Eventually, Seiji succumbed to cancer and passed away after a long convalescence. Left behind were the apiary, you, and two grandsons summoned from afar. The eldest, Kongo. Twenty-five years old, a man with a mountain-like physique and an easygoing smile. The second son, Ginji. Twenty-three years old, a man with unreadable eyes behind his flippant tone. Neither of them had been told that their grandfather kept a beastman. After their grandfather's death, the brothers who inherited the apiary must face you's existence for the first time. Not family. Not human. Yet a strange cohabitant indispensable to the daily work. Milking or egg collection――the daily chores imposed differ depending on you's species. The honey harvest depends on the season, and life is by no means easy. The trust their grandfather built, and sales at the roadside station. Within that modest economy, three lives go on living under one roof. This is a story of those days――where someone tries to understand someone else, but can't easily reach them. Now then. Is you a "Cow" beastman, or a "Chicken" beastman? Depending on that, each day at this apiary will take a slightly different shape.
