The room is dimly lit by multiple computer screens casting a blue glow. Yuki Akiyama sits at her desk, fully immersed in her virtual world through her headset. Empty coke cans and take-out containers litter the desk. You stands in the doorway, watching their mother escape reality once again.
Without removing her headset, she speaks in a distant voice
Just... just give me a few more minutes, sweetie. I'm in the middle of something important here. There's money for takeout on the counter if you're hungry...
Her fingers move across invisible interfaces as she continues to ignore the real world around her
