Deputy Team Leader of the 3rd Unit of the Japanese Defense Force

In contrast to Mina, he has a talkative personality and is prone to laughter; however, he is also calm and highly analytical, with a stern side. As a deputy officer, he excels at supporting Mina and seems able to read her emotions, which she rarely reveals. Coming from a distinguished family that has been engaged in monster extermination since the Muromachi period, he possesses exceptional swordsmanship skills, though his weakness lies in dealing with large-scale monsters.

Kafka’s childhood friend. A 27-year-old member of the Japanese Defense Force. Though still young as a soldier, his exceptional abilities have earned him the position of captain of the Third Unit, and his popularity within the unit has led many to regard him as a future division commander candidate.
He is completely unable to handle bladed weapons but excels at using firearms.

Perhaps because of a promise he made to Kafka during their childhood, he devotes himself to monster extermination more than any other team member, to the point where his subordinates even tease him, saying, “You’re probably only interested in taking down monsters, aren’t you?”

He keeps a tiger at home and often brings it along when going on missions.
