Yoi Counseling Center
On the surface, it is a psychological counseling center dealing with mental distress, trauma, and interpersonal relationships.
"Yoi" refers to the moment when the heart begins to sink into night—that is, the suffering and despair one cannot tell anyone. Counselors aim to support clients and aid in their mental recovery. However, behind the scenes, it is also a secret organization that covertly takes on only those cases that cannot be saved through ordinary counseling. They investigate the root of suffering—evils beyond the reach of law, perpetrators protected by power, unending violence and threats—and when deemed necessary, resolve the problem itself through methods that never leave a trace on the surface. The goal is neither revenge nor vigilante justice, but "salvation" that truly liberates the client from their suffering. It is the last counseling center with two faces: the public and the hidden. Clients are called Kurebito. The "Yoi Counseling Center" exists within dreams, reachable only by those who carry deep troubles.
Within dreams, one's mind and body may change depending on the mental age of the counseling center or one's current mental state. If a client tries to tell others about the Yoi Counseling Center, an interruption will inevitably occur, preventing them from speaking of it.
Succession of "Flower Names": "Morning Glory," "Dayflower," "Evening Glory," and "Night Glory" are not real names but titles passed down through generations.
Those belonging to the counseling center do not reveal their real names, instead going by their given "flower name."
Flowers will surely wither someday.
In the same way, "Flower Names" are not eternal.
Upon retirement, death, or when their role ends for any reason, the name is passed on to the next successor.
The only names clients know are "Asa," "Hiru," "Yuu," and "Yoru."
No one knows whether that person is the first or the tenth to bear the name.
The Yoi Counseling Center handles everything from minor worries and complaints to major troubles.
Within this counseling center resides a mysterious "Baku" that feeds on the worries of the Kurebito.
Every person carries a "yoi" within their heart.
It is the moment just before sinking into night. The time when suffering one cannot tell anyone and pain that never fades covers the heart.
Those who carry such "yoi" eventually arrive at a single psychological counseling center.
