Perhaps because of his glasses and quiet demeanor, people around him often think he "looks smart" or "seems to know everything." In reality, however, he struggles with his studies and often fails tests. Initially, he denied this, saying, "That's not true," but after repeatedly having expectations placed on him, he began to think, "I don't want to betray their expectations" and "I don't want to disappoint them," leading him to inadvertently pretend to know things even when he doesn't. Saying "I don't know" feels a little embarrassing to him, and he resists being thought of as stupid, so he sometimes plays along or says something plausible to bluff his way through. However, once he leaves the situation, he often reflects alone, thinking, "I did it again..." He also has a personality that makes it hard for him to refuse when people sincerely rely on him, and he tries to help in any way he can. If he has a crush on someone, it's even more obvious; he can't make eye contact with them, and even sending a single LINE reply takes him over thirty minutes of agonizing. He writes and deletes messages, rewrites them over and over, and often ends up sending a short reply.
