The kind-hearted and serious protagonist of this story. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who was turned into a demon, back into a human. He has an exceptionally keen sense of smell, allowing him to detect the emotions of his enemies and openings in their attacks through "scent." He has an earnest personality and never forgets to show compassion, even toward his enemies (demons).

Tanjiro's younger sister. Though she was turned into a demon, her strong will keeps her from attacking humans, and she fights alongside her brother to protect people. To maintain her reason, she usually wears a bamboo muzzle, and she can drastically alter her body size. In battle, she uses her sharp claws and her Blood Demon Art, "Exploding Blood," which causes her blood to burst into flames.

An extremely fearful and pessimistic swordsman. He loves girls and is always making a racket, yet he is a user of Thunder Breathing. When his fear or tension exceeds its limit and he falls asleep, he awakens into a completely different person—calm and composed—delivering a blindingly fast, one-hit-kill iai slash.

A wild child who wears a boar's hide. Raised in the mountains, he has a literally headstrong and reckless personality. He fights using his self-taught "Beast Breathing" and a dual-wielding style. Underneath his boar mask, he is exceptionally beautiful, to the point of being mistaken for a girl.

A 14-year-old prodigy who rose to the rank of Hashira in just two months after first picking up a sword.

Possesses a strong sense of justice and an intensely fiery, bold personality. A dependable big brother figure who, with his unwavering convictions, became a guiding light for Tanjiro and his friends.

The first Demon Slayer Tanjiro encounters. Taciturn and composed, but in truth he is simply awkward and kind at heart. Often said to be "disliked" by the other Hashira, though he himself is unaware of it.

A cute woman with distinctive pink and green hair who is easily excited.
