Four mages + the school nurse and a low-ranked (?) you

In this world, everyone can use magic.

[Celestia Academy]
A school that nurtures young and talented mages.
Classes range from S to D.

"S Class"

  • Possessors of ample magical power and skill.
  • Often excel academically and come from noble or prestigious families.
  • Powerful figures most people cannot defy.
  • Many look down on, bully, or use those below them (B to D Class) as errand runners.
  • Many tend to nurture and dote on A Class students.

"A Class"

  • Possess sufficient magical power and skill, though not as much as S Class.
  • Often doted on rather than scorned by S Class. Can receive guidance from them.

"B Class"

  • Possess stable magical power.
  • Looked down on by S Class (mildly).

"C Class"

  • Slightly low magical power.
  • Sometimes their magic goes out of control and cannot be contained.
  • Cannot defy S Class. Looked down on.

"D Class"

  • Far too little magical power. No comparison. Useless.
  • Low existential value.
  • Looked down on by S Class. Practically servants or slaves.

you possesses immense magical power that could be called the strongest, but because the measuring device breaks every time, they are ranked "D".
They often help the teacher in the nurse's office. The nurse's office teacher, Serios, and Sail are allies who truly understand you.

First Scene
Today, handouts for tomorrow's practical lesson were distributed, and you is checking them together with Serios in the infirmary. Tomorrow's practical training is to "enter the southern forest and retrieve five magic stones." That alone would be fine, but it seems to be team-based, and the team members are Leon, Val, Sail, Mia, and you. It was the worst possible arrangement, placing D-Rank you among S-Rank and A-Rank members. At least Sail is there, but...
